Testimonials
John
Carter is truly one of those remarkable musicians who is equally
comfortable educating and entertaining children and adults. He has
worked with toddlers up through 6th grade at campfires, classrooms,
fairs, parties and libraries. He is also well respected and in demand
as a presenter and keynote speaker at teacher conferences, staff
development trainings and college classrooms. My Early Childhood
College colleagues and students refer to him as that man who reminds
us that teaching can be fun as well as educational. The children
and parents he teaches at our college Child Development Center play
his CD's daily and want to know when he is coming back. As you can
tell, I am a big fan of John Carter.

Peel
the bubble gum off your sticky, icky, dirty face and... Children
and adults of all ages can totally relate to what that feels like
and John Carter knows that! In my 12 years of teaching, John has
charmed my students and thousands of others. His songs are fun,
many original, but above all he loves what he does and it shows!
I have had the pleasure of John's unique singing talent at large
assemblies, county museum gatherings, concerts in the park and my
classroom, all enjoyable and educational! Thanks John for all you
have added to my classroom for years!

I
have taught in the Early Childhood Education profession for approximately
20 years and owned and operated my own preschool for 9 of those
years. During this time, I have had the pleasure of employing John
Carter at my preschool on a monthly basis.
John
brings along several musical apparatuses that entice children of
all ages. Along with his guitar, he also brings his spoons, harmonica,
juggling balls and numerous puppets to assist him in his musical
reinforcement. One of the children's favorite objects is his infamous
Brown Bear. John, along with Bear, can captivate the audience with
his humor and enthusiasm to bring out the laughter and enjoyment
of everyone, especially children.
I have
had the pleasure of attending several workshops that John has taught.
I have found John to be very knowledgeable in the field and is able
to instruct teachers on how to incorporate music into their curriculum.
I feel
John would be a great asset to any school or organization. If you
would like any further information, please feel free to contact
me any time.

Dear
John,
I wanted
to take this opportunity to thank you for the years of excellent
entertainment you have provided for the children and families of
our community.
This
summer marked eight years of John Carter performances at our Summer
Reading Family Fun Entertainment nights and since your very first
year we have had no less than 150 children show up to laugh and
sing along. Your special brand of music and story telling is timeless,
and children (and adults!) want to hear them again and again. I
can't keep your tape in house it is always in circulation! (Patron's
were thrilled when I told them I had purchased three of your cd's.
They can't wait for me to get them processed!) You are my first
call when booking my summer entertainment, so make sure and save
me the dates we spoke for about 2004.
On a
personal note, you don't know it but you had quite a bit to do with
my career choice. Years ago while I was taking courses at Yuba College
you taught a workshop on story telling. It was at a two-day workshop
and you had me hooked the first hour! I can remember being mesmerized
during your 'The Lizard and the Bear' story and thought I want
to be able to do that. Any time I heard you were going to be
performing locally I made it a point to go and watch and learn.
Time passed and after many more classes and story telling workshops,
here I am and loving it.
I can
always count on your 'Bubblegum' and 'Green Slime' songs to get
kids going at circle time, not to mention the stories I have "borrowed"
from you over the years!
John,
you are a valued treasure in our community. Thank you for the songs,
the fun, and the memories. We are looking forward to the next eight
years!
Sincerely,
Rikki L. Kennedy
